What you'll build

Week 1

Foundations
Python essentials, working with datasets, data cleaning and visualization, and an introduction to how machine learning models learn.
Week 2
Dec 21–28
Build & present
Choose a real-world problem, train and evaluate a model, refine your results and present your finished project to mentors in a closing showcase.
Hands-on from day one

Students build, test and create together.

Small groups, real tools and mentors at every desk. You'll spend your time coding, training models and presenting, not just listening.

Give your application something real to point to.

Universities look beyond grades for curiosity, initiative and proof that a student has explored a field. This internship won't replace strong academics, but it gives you concrete experience to show.

A portfolio project
A finished AI project you can link to or describe in applications for computer science, engineering, data science and related majors.

FAQ

Good questions.

Do I need coding experience?

No. Beginners are welcome. Week 1 covers Python essentials, so curiosity and comfort with a laptop are enough to get started.

What is the difference between 20 and 40 hours?

Both run from December 14 to 28, 2026. The 20-hour option meets 10 am – 12 pm each day, and the 40-hour option meets 10 am – 2 pm with more time on the final project.

What do I need to bring or install?

A laptop with a reliable internet connection and an up-to-date web browser. We'll guide you through setting up the rest on day one.

What will I receive when I finish?

Students who complete the program and present their final project receive a Certificate of Internship and a Letter of Recommendation.
