This is the 50th anniversary of humans first landing on the Moon on July 16, 1969. This is the observance of exploration, teamwork, innovation, imagination, STEM, and discovery. How will it be if your kids are also getting interested in learning the fascinating extraterrestrial themes and activities, could broaden their imagination, and get a real-life experience beyond their understanding of Space Science?
In order to encourage your kids and indulge in their passion for space exploration, the Space STEM Program will provide the right training you can get your child into.
Space STEM training is online and classroom based training, typically led by engineers and using materials intended to support elementary and middle-school students through fun engineering design challenges with a real-world connection. Its curriculum is based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines - Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics - in an integrated, interdisciplinary approach to learning that will provide students hands-on and relevant learning experiences.
Let’s Check out how the Space STEM Program will Help Its Students:
⦠Build passion for STEM subjects
⦠Encourage them to reach for the stars
⦠Familiarize with our Universe
⦠Phases of the Moon
⦠Gravitational forces
⦠Supermoon
⦠Solar energy
⦠Lunar math
Designed on the Capstone project model, the Space STEM Program will help its students to pick a problem statement, identify where and how the concepts learned can be applied to solve it. It will also help the students to develop their entrepreneurship skills through the concepts of learning: Ideation. Innovation.Creation.
While encouraging students to be familiar with the Universe, educators of the Space STEM Program will conduct a variety of space-related activities, where students will be provided with straws, pencils, tape, scissors and paper to carefully conceptualize how rockets and drones are assembled. By the way, these students don’t need to be rocket scientists or fully conversant with drone technology to learn some of the fundamentals of engineering. The Space STEM Program will engage them in a variety of online STEM assignments.
Students will most likely enjoy the design and engineering components of this activity. It will develop their problem-solving and critical thinking skills and help them to look for answers regarding why a certain rocket or drone launch failed or succeeded. This activity will give students the opportunity to gain a stronger understanding and appreciation for the science fundamentals.
In the solar energy section of the Space STEM Program, students will discover their passion for stargazing, build their own telescopes, and explore the galaxy. It will teach them strong design, science and engineering skills. At the end of the program, students will leave with a new interest for the STEM subjects and exploring the space.
Space STEM Courses
If you want your kid to be inquisitive of extraterrestrial themes and activities and inspire their space aspirations, you will need a more in-depth Space STEM training and guide.
Brainy n Bright has designed their Space STEM Program based on icebreaker activities used to build relationships with students. Two versions of training are available, which include virtual and classroom based tuitions.
